Planning Board to Examine Possible Areas in Need of Redevelopment During Nov 24 Meeting PDF Print E-mail

The Montclair Planning Board, in accordance with a request from Township Council, will conduct a preliminary investigation of various properties along Bloomfield Avenue and Glenridge Avenue to determine if they meet the criteria for an area in need of redevelopment. (Resolutions R-14-037 and R-13-103). The areas to be studied include properties along Seymour Street, Glenridge Avenue and Lackawanna Plaza. All three areas have been identified by the Township as problem areas where new investment is desired. The Board will first discuss the above areas at its November 24 meeting, which will be held at 7:30 in Montclair Municipal Building Council Chambers, 205 Claremont Avenue. (See meeting agenda.) The meeting is open to the public.

Sewer Bill Payments Due Dec 1 PDF Print E-mail

The second sewer bill payment installment is due December 1.

Montclair Township 2014 sewer bills were sent to property owners in June. Payment stubs for both June and December installments were part of that mailing. If you have questions about your bill, please contact the billing office at 973-509-4977 (or 4921, 4922, 4923, 4924, 4925).

Sewer bill payments may now be made online using Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express credit cards.

User convenience fees are as follows:

• All other debit and credit cards: 2.95%
• Electronic check $1.05 per transaction

Montclair Health Department’s office of Environmental Affairs, Community Green, and Bike & Walk Montclair will co-host a free public screening of a provocative new documentary, “The Human Scale”, at the next Green Film event on Thursday, November 20, 6:30 p.m. at the Montclair Public Library, 50 South Fullerton Avenue, 07042. All events at the Library are free.

Montclair Community Band logoThe Montclair Department of Recreation and Cultural Affairs is proud to announce the Montclair Community Band Autumn Concert to be held Sunday, November 23, 3:00 p.m., in the Montclair High School Auditorium located at the corner of Park and Chestnut streets. Admission is free.

Conductor Jim Wasko will lead the band in a program for everyone in the family to enjoy.

Music selections will include:
